Outside air temperature

I have owned several Prisms and a Honda CRV and in all of them I could turn on the fan with outside air intake, and fresh air would come in the vents that was the same temperature as the outside air. I have owned my 2014 Mazda5 for four months and when I turn on the fan with outside air intake, the air is warm even if the outside air temperature is in the 60's. Is there no way to get fresh air without opening the windows?? I do not want to have to run the a/c when the outside air is cool. I also notice with the fan off (and the temperature set to 60) I can still feel warm/hot air from the vents. Any advice is appreciated!

Mine provides same temp outside air, inside the car, when I just have fan on.

Another thing to consider is that the dash on the 5 is very wide and black. The air coming out of the vents when you first start driving is traveling through the plastc under that big ol heat sink. Sometimes in the summer I will run my AC just enough to cool off the duct work, then turn it off and the air coming through is ambient air temp (as it should be)
