Opinions of wrecked MSP

2003 MSP
Hey guys. I just bought my friends orange MSP with a blown motor. I have been looking everywhere for a useable motor for a reasonable price. I just found a blue MSP that is wrecked in the front. I am thinking about buying it and taking out the motor and transmission. Would anyone have any use for a MSP wrecked roller? Or would I be better off parting it out? I have seen a few part outs of rear ended MSPs. This could be a good platform for someone to swap everything over.

Thanks. Yes the rims are painted orange and black. If I bring the blue car home with me it will be in the middle of New Mexico. If not I will leave it with no motor or tranny in the middle of Texas at my friends house to be parted out or sold as is.

I would wonder if the turbo at minimum didn't take damage. If it were me, I'd look for a car that wasn't wrecked in the engine bay when looking for an engine. If the turbo is gone, then theres really no advantage in using that engine over ANY other FSDE from ANYTHING (probe, regular protege, etc, other that the distributor versions in the older cars). All you have to do is swap over your windage tray and you're pretty much back to square 1.

i could really use the center caps for the rims if you part it out. Imo parting it out would prolly be your best bet.

I'd give $1000 for it, but that's because I'm always in need of parts... Like every ******* day. There's actually a complete, wrecked car that I want to buy that I've been buying individual parts from lately, but I'm not sure he'd sell it for what I want to pay.

Easily there is $2-3k in parts after your motor is taken out. You just need to decide what the motor is worth and then what your time and money is worth.

If the motor is in good shape I could see doing $2k, maybe more
