So the clutch won't disengage? The clutch itself is most likely fine...its either air in the clutch system (in the slave cylinder, clutch line, etc...can be easily bled)...a broken release fork, or a bad throw-out/release bearing...or even pedal position being out of wack, which can be adjusted pretty easily with the FSM...
Possible that something happened to the pressure plate related to disengagement...but when they fail, its usually the other way around...goes into gear but won't move the car...
start by working outside from in...first you'll need someone to push the clutch pedal with you looking inside the bay, engine off...note if the release fork and actuator is working with pedal movement...this should happen every time the pedal is pushed...if something is up with the fork, you may be able to see it from the front of the bellhousing...if that release fork isn't moving with pedal movement...its probably air in the line, or a damaged slave cylinder...either of which are pretty easy to fix...if that thing is moving properly, be ready to get the box off...
it takes less than 10 minutes to bleed the clutch with a friend helping...but i find this is the one type of bleeding that is actually easier with a vacuum pump...the pedal will push a ton of fluid out each time, and you'll need to refill the reservoir literally every pedal pump in order to not pull more air in...
