All the Magnaflows I've heard on boosted P5's have sounded awesome, but I've don't know about the highway "drone"......

My suggestion is stock. It's real nice. Louder than most cars, mellow and gets lound when you hit it.

Ours dosent have the nice exaust, i dont know if the owner put a diff one on or if it wasnt ordered that way,:( doesent have nice exaust tip or anything ...

I hame an Apex-I N1.. It's real quiet as long as the car is turbo. I've heard it on a NA car and it's

"STOOPID LOUD YO!" (Hip Hop Voice)

If the tip is not polished and oval and say mazdaspeed or racing beat or something like that on the side of the tip then it is not the stock muffler. I would either recommend the stock mazdaspeed axle-back muffler or the mazdaspeed sport axle-back muffler. Both can be found in the for sale section for pretty cheap used or you can find them brand new for a good price here http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123631823

If you are looking for better performace and money is not an issue, I would listen to the others and get a vibrant.

as i said earlier get w/ JDMSam about the vibrant and he can help a lot. www.*************.com great deals and service. send him a pm or check out his site.

isnt that kinda restrictive at the end? i'm looking for alternatives for an exhaust since i dont want something that is loud and drones no stop

I've had my Vibrant for almost a year and currently would NOT recommend it. Build/finish quality was very good. Installation is a bit of a pain (many threads on this, including mine). My Vibrant system was noticeably louder than stock when installed, even with the silencer in, and about 2 months ago it got that much louder all of a sudden. My wife hates it, my friends don't like it, my neighbors have commented on it and I'm not too happy with the extra volume either. It sounds pretty mean right now with all the pops and backfires, but just too much noise.

The worst part? JDMSam and I have been trying to get Vibrant to contact me for almost 2 months, with no response from them yet.

*Update* Finally got the call from Vibrant about an hour after posting. How ironic. Anyway, they said that most likely the cat has failed and they're shipping me a new downpipe section to swap in. According to they guy I spoke with, the cat could have been damaged in shipping or by the MSP's overly rich condition. He said if it's indeed the cat it would be the first failure he's seen on a couple hundred MSP exhaust systems sold. I'll try to update this once we know what the problem was.
