ok, i have very little knowledge of nitrous brands and installation, but i roughly know how it works. so my questions are: what would be the best brand to install? (right now im leaning towards NX, but thats just as of right now) what would be the cost of complete installation of a wet ket, and or dry kit? if i do go with wet, would it be easy to uninstall myself if need be at the time of.....well you know *cough* dealer *cough* .and when using nitrous once in a while, not every day, like maybe 3-4 times a week. will there be any physical evidence of the usage of nitrous??

man if you are going to use it 3-4 times a week don't get it lol...save that money on teh kit install and bottle fills and save for a turbo you will be much happier....take this from a guy that has been Nitrous, Nitrous/Turbo, Turbo, NA and now i'm going back to turbo don't waist your time....I'm sure Linux will agree with me

The dealer would not know that you are using Nitrous unless you engine blows up...and u want to use the warranty!

It's fairly easy to uninstall..just pull out the wires!

It's cheaper to run a nitrous kit than a turbo...

As long as you run a low shot...u should be fine...we don't have the advanced timing like the MP3's that have blown up...

But don't get me wrong..there are people who have blown up their p5's by running 75 shots...

I am running a 50 shot for now..until i get more funds to do some upgrades!
Good choice on the NX kit..i have it on my car...

hey acid..... how much did your install cost if you got it done prof.

where did ya take it to get it put in(im in philly by the way )

any pics maybe??

I got it done at this place by me called Auto Image...The wanted to charge me 300 dollars to install but since i already had work done by him he charged me 225 us dollars...

My kit cost 450 us dollars...he wanted to charge me over 600 for the kit only...

I have a digital cameral...i can take pictures of whatever u would like...But right now i am at work..and will not be home untill 6pm..

email me at

Dude over time Turbo is much cheaper than a Nitrous kit. One it seems that our engines are safer with a turbo for one...two you don't have to worry about a solenoid staying open and blowing your motor or a solenoid not openign and blowing your motor, Three turbo is there all the time no thinking about it..a NX kit is 500 buck your install was 300 so that brings the tally up to 800 already. You say its cheaper....lets say you have your bottle filled twice a month thats about 60 bucks over a year thats 720 bucks you've spent on N2O alone so over a year of having a N2O kit your tally is up to 1520 one more year and you could afford a Spool Stage One turbo kit. If you use N2O more then the price skyrockets. I was using a bottle a weekend at one point thats 120 bucks a MONTH on N2O if you are sparing and only use one bottle a month then 30 bucks a month isn't bad but at that rate you are racing maybe once a weekend and there is NO POINT in having it.....the point of N2O is to go fast and if you don't use it then don't have it. Bottom line cheapest way to go fast in our cars is to bite the buttle safe your money and get a turbo kit either way you are going to hav eto run premium gas unless you want to detonate and blow your motor but thats your choice.....just my .02 Oh yeah and the dealers can find out if you have used N2O Honda dealers have had a N2O test for a while and it is 90% correct so many people were using N2O Honda dealers started to test for it. There are ways. I'm not sure if Mazda dealers are doing it but there is the means to.

You forget the fact that i can sell my nitrous kit...when i save up for a turbo...i will sell my kit and use that money to help pay for installation of the turbo...

I only plan to run N20 on the weekends...

Also...i alway put in premium gas...it just makes my car rev better!

:D
