Gotta love new toys....my dad broke down and bought a new motorcycle and since i'd be working on his old one off and on he decided he'd let me have it....i've almost got it running right after screwing with the vacumm lines and emissions system. Just need to get the starter rewound and tune the carbs...they're running a little lean now the vacuum lines are straight. More than likely i'll end up repainting black and gold...the color it is now reminds me too much of the green goblin from spider man.

84 Virago 1000cc, Stage 1 jets, 2" drag pipes..no baffels, and twin Dyna 3000 ign. coils with 8mm wires.

I'm not that familiar with motorcycles but Is Virago a brand or just model name and isn't 1000cc huge for a bike engine?

Virago is the model name, it's made by yamaha. 1000 used to be a big bike, not really so anymore. the bigest one out now is honda's VTX1800 and Goldwing 1800, those things are flat out huge. It's basicly droping a 1.8L car motor on a bike. For big crusiers now 1300-1600 is pretty much the norm, as far as metric cruiser's go.

Dude, those things were sweet...buddy of mine back in the day had one he ran at the illegal street races down in Caronlina...thing was crazy, big bore kit, nitrous, i wouldn't get near it. Any particular reason you got rid of yours.
