I bought my 2003 P5 (Silver) 1.9.03 and I have a few questions that I am sure have been answered before but I'm too lazy to look.

1) How involved would the process of removing the roof rack be?

2) How long should I wait (mileage) before I put an intake on?

Any other general tips for this great car would be appreciated

I put my intake on with 100km on...it would have been on when I just got it (bout 5 km), but the store didn'y have a short ram in stock until a few days later.

takes maybe 10-20 mins, its harder to put it back. It just takes a screwdriver and a wrench (forgot what size, i just used an adjustable) and dont worry about popping the plastic peaces off, you just have to do it, you wont break them.

except...

Be careful with the plastic parts all the way at the back of the back rack, those are a little tricky to get out, you have to kid of bend them sliding them back, dont just rip them up and out or you'll break some plastic tabs.

Make sure you keep all the pieces and know where they go. I chose to use masking tape and just tape them in the spot they are, and makes it easier to put them back one because all the hardware is right there, you dont have to search arround for the right screw or washer.

oh yeah, and welcome. :)

General tips: dont do stupid things to it, or with it. :p

SYKOTICK, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. (stash)

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!! (stash)

no need to wait for an intake at all...if you don't want to...

as for the roofrack....are you only wanting to remove the cross bars? if so...its a piece of cake..and considering you have a 2003, the instructions are in your manual.....it doesn't take long at all....

and after you remove the cross pieces...you just pop in the pieces that the dealer SHOULD have given you that covers up where the uprights WERE......
