2008 Mazda 5
Hello all,

I've had my 2008 Mazda 5 for some months now, I bought it used and its my daily family driver.

I'm pretty satisfied with the 5 but being new to Mazdas, are the audio systems in these kinda on the bad side? Or is it just mine?

Any suggested mods for my 2008 not just the stereo but body, engine, etc...?

That's a whole can of worms buddy. Best do some searching first and let us know what exactly it is you're trying to get out of your MZ5. As far as the speakers, it looks like you got the Sport, so they'll be crappy regardless.

Welcome to the forum (drive)

Mazda5 H&R Springs
Mazdaspeed3 Bilstein Sport dampers (front & rear)
Hotchkis Sway Bars (front & rear)
BaysonR Front Lip

Enjoy!

Hey thanks for the info! And thanks for the welcome!

njaremka thanks for the suggestions I will look at those.

depends on what you want. My mods are undetectable until you ride in it. sound insulation, led lights and michelin mxv4 tires. Now it rides like a 30k car.

There are several routes available.

You could leave the stock radio and upgrade the speakers only. $~300

You could leave the stock radio and add amp and speakers. $~600

You could upgrade the headunit and the speakers $~900

You could upgrade the headunit, add an amp, speakers and subwoofer, and sound deadening $~1500

Or...just buy a new headunit, lol

Figure out what you want to do with your car first. Personally, i would do lowering, rims, F/R lip, spoiler, than sound system. I must add though, lowered MZ5's look pretty darn nice.
