New MS6 Owner

Hi Everyone,
Been lurking here for a while and just picked up a my MS6. Signed up a week ago and figured it was finally time to make a post. Anyway, ended up with a 2006 Black Cherry, GT (no moon or nav) with 26K miles. Came with original Bridgestones and a set of Pirelli Pzero nero all seasons. $17.4K. Has the clutch TSB and no signs of smoke so far.

My experience with the car has been interesting so far, but overall, I love it. Bought it from a private party, an older guy probably in his 50s. I had the mazda dealership look it over first. They said I had a small leak in the transfer case that I should come back and have fixed that would be warrantied, but otherwise real good shape. Two days after I bought it get a CEL driving down the highway. It was emissions, P0441. Thought it was a lose gas cap and it went away a few days later. Came back on a week later on Monday so I called the dealer to have them look and go ahead and fix the transfer case.

So, long story short I got my transfer case resealed, they replaced the emissions purge solenoid, and put my Pirellis on. Took 3 days but only cost me $76 to swap the tires. Its has me a little worried that after owning the car for 2.5weeks it has already been in the dealer for 3 days of work. But they were real nice and did the warranty stuff without hassle at all. During those 3 days I had a 06 mazda 6i loaner. Man, this Speed6 is in a whole other class. That thing felt so slow and sloppy to drive. When I got my car back tonight, I drove it home from the dealer like I stole the thing!! Love it.

Anyway, probably won't be doing much modding, at least anytime soon. Might want to get an intake next spring. Actually the first mod will be getting my iPod and Palm Pre in there somehow. Still trying to figure out the best approach. Well, thats enough rambling for now. See you around the forums.(drinks)

Congrats n welcome to the forums... As far as getting your ipod in the car you may want to look at the Auxmod.. Plugs into your unused Cassette player port under the radio. with a 1/8 plug you have your ipod connected in no time.
Very easy to install and works pretty good.. Ive had it for 3 yrs now with no problems...

Welcome. BCM is the absolute best color, you will get lots of compliments.

thanks everyone for the kind greetings.

I've looked into the auxmod but it doesn't fully meet all my needs. I will start a new thread in audio section to discuss though.

I am from minneapolis, MN. Any other northeners around. I know I have seen a few MS6's around town.
