Ah ok, good thing to take it to a reputable mechanic... you need to establish a trusted mechanic for your car's future. For the condition the car was in, im surprised there was no motor mount or rear diff mount issues... good news!

As for headlights, most likely that is outside the light and it is oxidation.
For extreme cases, you need to wetsand/polish, for light cases, a polish/restoration kit should buff it out just fine. To figure out if its on the outside for sure, just pop the hood then look down at the headlight at an angle so that you are looking down the top parrallel to the front cover angle. tilting ur head back and forth to see what side scum is on.

If it truely is on the inside, then it sounds like the previous owner had perhaps popped them open for Angel Eyes before.
You have to bake the headlights to open them, easily a google-found process.

My roommate called me the other day and told me that all my windows were down, I had to go back home and roll them all up.... I had the drivers window down but rolled it up before I parked the car.

Is there a button I accidently pushed, maybe when I locked the car?

Also, please advise: is this the stock exhaust manifold?

Yep thats the stock exhaust mani, but your missing the heat shield. Or did you take it off? If you hit the unlock botton twice and hold all of the windows roll down

I figured that it was stock, dude threw me off when he said otherwise. I didnt remove the heatsheild. Probably should track one down and put it on...

Ahhh! The windows, yes. I was probably fiddling with my key thingy. Is there an equivalent "roll them all up" feature with the lock button? Also, is there a way to make the horn quieter when it yells after pushing the lock button twice? I scared an old woman the other day. Come to think of it, I think I got frightened the first time I did it.

LOL sorry to confuse you, i guess i was just thrown off since it was missing the heat shield... i was purely asking for my own info cause i have actually never seen our stock manifolds... lol!

Yay press unlock once, then again but hold it down and windows roll down.
The same process works to roll them up but not from the remote, only for the door request buttons.
As far as quieter horn, nope. Press lock once, the car locks with a quiet beep... pressing it again simply gives a louder audible HONK!!! lol.

Tomorrow I'm going to replace my valve cover gasket, install the grom audio iPod link, and if I have time I will replace the tranny and diff oils. If my spark plugs arrive I'll throw those in too.

Re spark plugs: standard torques ~10ft.lb?

Anyone know where I can buy a rear spoiler for my MS6 ?? It was damaged during transport. I have been looking everywhere for one. (except the dealer)

autoexe makes a carbon fiber spoiler. SU carries it. Kind of expensive though. 150 more and you can buy an entire cf trunk or hood lol.

Is there is supposed to be a vacuum line connecting the wastegate actuator to the wastegate solenoid valve?

There are plugs on both the nipples. I think the previous owner is forcing the wastegate to be closed and controlling all boost levels with the BPV.

Is this correct? Should I put a vacuum line between these?

My VIN !?!

My VIN is not visible where it should be. This is not legal. I think my windsheild was replaced but the "VIN window" is in the incorrect location... Might have been the wrong windsheild?

Could someone post a pic of their vin location relative to the hood, windsheild, and other such locating features. My best bet is to scratch away at the black paint stuff.

An update on the spoiler: bought one off of myspoiler.com and it arrived. Doesnt fit at all. Paint job was terrible, and the LEDs are red instead of white. I'm requesting a refund.

Vin is under the passenger side rug. I dont see a vin through my windshield just a gap where it should be lol.

If you can't see your VIN through the windshield it is likely the windshield was replaced with one from a regular 6. Their opening is in a different location. From what I have read on different forums most glass shops don't know the difference between the cars and order the wrong one.
