I am thinking of getting new 18" chrome rims if I can sell my stock rims. Any idea of what I could get for the CX 7 stock rims....not sure what they are worth? What is a good, fair price....I am thinking over $100 each for sure. Thanks for any input....Wendy

hopefully WAY MORE than 100 each. call ur dealer and ask how much a rim is if they had to replace one. Stock rims r usually redic expensive.

Go to www.tirerack.com and you'll get an idea. They even have the preview on how it will look like on your car. Those who replaced the tires and rims are selling the stock tires and rims (4 pieces) around $400-500 on eBay. Expect to pay around $800-1000 and up for the tire and rim package. If you just want rims, TireRack will give you the answer.

Yea....the rims I like the most may not work.....similiar to HotRods....Hey HotRod still hoping you will give me the brand of rims and style. ;] The ones that look closest is MB Wheels "Spark"(Discount Tire $176 each) but does not show up for the CX 7. The size is 18x7.5 5-100/114 45C....anyone know if this will work? I know I could call but don't feel like it just yet....still thinking about it.
I just want 18" rims since tires are still good and I'd save $ that way. Thanks for your responses gang.

I've seen a lot of them on ebay. I bought a set for snows for $700 with OEM rubber on them. Later I've seen them for around $400 a set, dohh.

One thing to think about with new rims is the tire pressure monitors. Not all rims will be compatible with the TPM's. You will probably want to take the TPM's from your original rims and put them in you new ones... otherwise you'll have a tire pressure light on... or if you figure out how to deactivate it, either way, no tire warning info.. My winter wheels don't have the TPM's so tire light is on all winter.

If you just want chrome rims somebody on ebay offers a chroming service for about $600/set.

DON'T get the chrome rims. My CX7 came with chrome rims with the package (they were already on the car) when I bought it. That was two months ago. Now they are pitted and rusting and I can't get them clean. I live in Salt Lake and the snow/salt was murder on them.

Funny thing: My boss has a Q45 with chrome rims. His car is 4 years old and his rims are NOT pitted, they look just fine, although a little dull after 4 years, but NOTHING like mine just after 60 days.

What I found out is this: My Mazda dealership sent normal rims to California to be "chromed". So these rims are *NOT* factory chrome.

My rims look like s*** now. I think by the end of this year I'm going to throw them in the garbage and get just plain alloy rims.

Well, if you got the rims with the package then it should be warrantied, am I right? Call the dealer and blast them fools.

Ok...chroming the rims is out but when I get some extra cash...definitely gotta get me some rims....HotRods were out of my budget, but may get some similiar!! Anyone have chrome rims or plan on getting them? Let see some pics!!

I just bought some black wheels for my black cx-7. Ill post some pics when they arrive in the next week. :)

If you can afford it and live in the Salty East Coast area then I would keep the stock rims for winter driving, that's what I'll be doing once I find the correct rims. Tirerack does offer some nice rims!

True Nash...thought of that too. Now my hubby says why spend the money when I don't keep my cars that long....I average 3 years between cars. He's right....argh! Next car i am getting chrome rims.....they should had that option on the GT's!! Oh well.
