2003.5 Mazda Speed Protege
Here is the scoop on my ride, I have a 2003.5 Titanium Gray protege that needs a new lsd in it. Was going to go with the stock replacement welded but I don't want this happening again so I have chose to go with the MFactory LSD by what I have heard about them. So my question is how do I get my hands on one at a fair price and what will I need for it to install it on my car. Thanks for any help you can throw my way.

crossover auto sells them with everything you need and are a good reputable company. Speed Circuit I believe sells them as well.

So will this replace the whole old lsd or will I need something off my old one like the big gear with teeth on the end. Sorry for being a noob on this just want to make sure I get this right the first time and thank you for replying.

ken at protegegarage can get them too

and here's some things you might wanna get also
Primary Shaft Lock Nut
F520-17-628
QTY=1

Secondary Shaft Lock Nut
[strike]F521-17-628A[/strike]
NEW PART NUMBER: G501-17-629A
QTY=1

Carrier Bearings
G5R0-27-350B
QTY=2

axle seals
F003-27-238B
QTY=2

as for the large gear you will have to drill out the rivets from the stock lsd... then bolt it back up to the mfactory

Thank you this helps a ton I'm assuming any transmission shop can get that off for me if I ask?

Not sure but i wouldnt doubt it. Haven't installed mine yet. You do need a machine shop to press on the carrier bearings if you don't have a press.

Do an advanced search here on the forums and select title only "mfactory"
