I'm doing a big tune up on a 1997 used 1.5, I just got.
its running pretty well, I did the timing belt and water pump
I also pulled the distributor and replaced the leaking O-ring
I want to check my timing now
I know the haynes manual indicates to jump terminal 10 to ground... causing the idle to drop and the computer to stop adjusting the ignition timing
I found the small electrical ports labeled with a cover saying "diagnosis"
when I open it, none of the terminals appear to be labeled.
so I don't know which one is termal 10?
does anyone have a picture, or clear direction to help me find the correct timing jump location?
(I tried jumping the 10th terminal by just counting, but no idle changes occured)
thanks in advance everyone!
