Need help replacing HID bulbs

i attempted to replace my HID bulbs today. i tried going through the wheel wells and just under the hood. not enough room to get the old bulbs out. im 6'8 so i dont exactly have the best size hands for this stuff. any suggestions or pointers..? id rather not remove the front bumper and all that.

I ended up removing the front bumper and the lamp assemblies. Unfortunately, it's the really the only way to do it. I'm 6'1" and my hands aren't exactly small either. Once I had removed the bumper and housings...it was easy.

Maybe an hour, start to finish including ops checks and clean up.

Removing the front bumper should be in every MS6 owner's skill set. It makes several jobs quite a bit easier. It may take you half-an-hour the first time you do it, but after a couple times, you should be able to do it in fifteen minutes or so. (thumb)

yea. i figure im gonna have to do it for the FMIC anyway. at least now ill know exactly what im doing.

I managed to do it without removing my bumper only because 1 side went out.
I've def discovered taking the bumper is 100% easier.

that was way easier than i thought it was gonna be. took me maybe 45 minutes to pull the bumper and headlights to do the 6000k swap.
