Sorry guys, MS6Mike decided to go to Morosso and I followed and forgot to hit the forums to tell, didnt get time to get on a computer. My fault.
Mike and Me know almost everyone here from the meets, so it all in games.
And now; this is what happened yesterday:
I decided to go with Mike to Morosso, but in his car, so I left mine at home. His camera was in the trunk and so we decided we were going to tape the 168mph mark coming back at the track. Doing it while getting over there would just agitate the engine and cause a lot of heatsoak for the time we arrive, since we had to already drive 80 miles to get there from ft lauderdale to west palm. We arrived at the shell gas station next to the track and rested a bit before they opened. Mike called Jordan from CP-E to see what was the best way to hit some good times and to discuss other issues.
Then we hit the track. At first, times where bad...13.6..13.4...even 14.2 LOL. So we paused because we concluded that there was too much heat to keep running, so we let the car rest. Waited for dusk, and off we went again. The car hit a low 13 the first run we did after that, so that was a good sign. There wasnt more than probably 22 cars running (11 passes), so we got to run A LOT. We put a bag of ice on top of the IC to help us out, and took the lid off. long story short, we hit the 12s. I dont remember the time exactly, i think it was 12.8. So we got all excited and decided to pump the boost to 18psi...and nothing, still low 13s. We went to 19.5psi...and nothing, same outcome. That seemed to be the best run of the day, and instead of calling it a day, Mr. GreedyMike decided to go for a mid 12...ehh...right.
Did I mention Supercharged pick-ups where Pwning everybody? even EVOs/STIs, stangs, ...Mike...LOL. However, he did get to run against a 12 second EVO and beat it. EVO got a lower time than Mike throughout the night, but not on that run, so it goes to show how important the driver mod is. A low 13 350Z on DRs got killed too. There was this fast little cockroach humiliating everybody too hehe. There was an SRT-4 too...he got owned as well. There was a 13 second supra that looked like it did 11s...shameful (driver sucked). There was this WRX that kept hitting high 13s until it hit a 12 all the sudden. Also, I raced a TL Type S...bleh, easy kill, those FWD REALLY get a bad launch at the track...the track conditions really dont cooperate no matter how many additives they add to the track to add traction. The TL type-S hit high 14s, and got beaten by one fast rsx that hit mid 14s like the srt-4. A mid 14s cobalt SS. A low 14 ION. 12 second pickups...5 out of 6 that were there hit 12s PERSISTANTLY. Oh, I also beated a SRT-8 Charger that looked sick that had SRI & exh. (not full exhaust, some pipe i cant remember, but it sounded aftermarket for sure). Well, theres more, but yeah, that was our night.....at the track. It aint over yet.
The s*** hit the fan in the 10th/15th (dont know lol) run when Mike was boosting 19.5psi and he launched too hard and the drivetrain broke...I was watching and I didnt hear s***, but he said he heard a loud snap, but kept going. Then he said that the car later ran fine, but wasnt sure whether or not something had happened, but was pretty sure it was the drivetrain. I told him to do a bad/test run just to make sure but the dumbass didn't listen cuz a 11 second supra lined up and he just couldn't resist to put up a fight (...riiight...yeah, good luck on that one dude) lol, so when he "launched"...he did one nice FWD burn out. And drove very slowly his way down the strip.
That was the end of it. We had to drive the car at 20mph 2 miles to the gas station and call a tow truck. two kids showed up driving it (WTF?). One looked like he had 18 and the other like 17...they were "ghetto" too lol, but good dudes, they seem to make a big effort to prove us they were "COOL" tow truck drivers unlike the others...by trying to prove us I mean, they tried to fix the car, kept complementing the MS6 on how badass of a V6 turbocharged car it was...eh..I4 dude actually. He didnt listen though. Anyways, we didnt fit in the truck so we hopped in the MS6 that was laying ON TOP of the flat bed. Hilarious. We went riding on the highway on top of a truck, while IN the car. Funny thing is, we would turn it on and rev at the people that were next to us...including those coming back from the track. The expression on their faces was priceless. Then all the sudden, the driver calls Mike and tells him we are going to pull over to get some gas. Needless to say it was weird to pass 3 gas stations, so we figure them bitches were trying to put some miles on us (the price of the tow goes from how many miles you travel), until finally stopping in a gas station for tow trucks in the middle of nowhere...greeeeeaat, now I was going to get mugged, and mike was gonna get *****. I was astonished to realize the two drivers smoking a fat one. Yes, a fat one LOL. WTF!..Oh well, off we went again, until these two decided to hit it again in the middle of the road and turn on the tow truck lights and cops would just drive right by us. Crazy. We arrived somewhere near the gunther dealership at a workshop called dynamic turbo, where mike currently has his car. While arriving there, for some ****** reason, mike had half the window lowered and a cop was parked ****** arround with his laptop like they always do and sees Mike...and mikes sees him...and then mike puts the window up like if it would make any difference. We lowered the car and parked it and then we talked to the cop who thought it was pretty amazing to see us ride on top of the truck like that...he laughed. Cool cop. We got something to eat and a friend came to pick us up and drop us off where my car was. Hit some beers, relaxed, and that was our day.
