So I'm wanting to do some little changes to the 5. I had to opt for the Sport trim as it was the only one I could find with a 5MT for the 09 year (to my knowledge the Touring and GT didn't come in a manual option... could be wrong of course). So it has no fun goodies like sunroof (could care less about), GT wing (pissed about), GT sideskirts (similarly pissed about), or fogs.
I was contemplating just buying some cheap LED bars from AutoZone, Advanced AP, or online for like 20-30 bucks and just calling it a day since the stock Sport "fog" surround has those little lines and it would be fairly simple to just attach the LED bars to those and would be equally level and look sort of like it could've been a factory option.
However, is there a way to fit the GT fogs on there (like a kit somewhere online) or has anyone put aftermarket fogs on a sport? Additionally, how difficult would you think it would be to pull either the whole bumper out or just those little surrounds and wiring up a switch (like taking out the dash pieces to fit the switch to the left below the steering wheel where presumably the real fog switch goes)?
Thanks for any help.
