Magnaflow or custom 2.5" cat-back exhaust...

My concern is that the Magnaflow cat-back is the same diameter as the stock exhaust.:mad: I don't understand why they would do this,(blarf). So besides getting better sound from the car has anyone gotten any results from the exhaust. Whether it be running on a dyno or qurter mile times, anything????? Just wondering so that I know what to do when my SPEED6 arrives from Japan.(cool)
