So after 3 years my left low beam burned out and I will have to replace it this sat, I will do both. Should I use h7 sylvania xtravision or just regular bulbs. Any suggestions? I don't want them to burn out again within a short time, so I will use some bulb grease to seal that rubber boot as well before putting it back on. I had a bad experience with zxe from sylvania as well as silver stars on my previous cars, they burn out quick. What should I use?

i would get regular extended life bulbs. any of the +vision bulbs usually run a higher wattage, which equals shorter life.

They're not a higher wattage, that limited by uncle sam.

XtraVision bulbs run at the THE legal limit and are great- Silverstar are the blue coated POS-es that burn out quickly and change your projection pattern a bit.

I ended up getting a set of sylvania xtravisions, they look about the same as the OEM did, with maybe a little better visibility. To answer the HID question, I did a conversion on my wife's Civic with a $300 set (best of the best) with ballasts, did everything right and they would still last only a few months. Conversions are a stupid joke. So if your car has HiD live with it and if it's halogen then keep that what you have, in my opinion. Oh and I am not sure why people complain about changing the mazda clip on bulb, it's not that hard but to not allow the clip to snap back and get stuck. It took me literally 5 min per side and I have fat fingers. They are not as easy as.VW but not bad at all. VW you can change in front of the part store.
