2006 Mazda 5 Sport
Hi everyone!

I've been coming to this site off and on for about a year or so. I have an '06 5, automatic. I'm sure it's the sport version. It was my wife and I's only car for about a year and managed to get it from 136k to 157k in that time frame. I've seen a lot of good stuff on here so I finally decided it is time for me to actually register and hopefully be a part of this small community. I don't really have anything done to it yet, I'm working on repainting the headlights as we speak (using sensinitas walkthrough, thank you so much!). Is there anybody else here that's in the Austin, TX area? Anyways, I won't turn this into a novel, just a very very long hello!

Hello Hello

Love Austin and Lake Travis.

Do I post pics in here in this thread? Sorry, I don't really know exactly where I'm supposed to put things yet.

Alright. I will as soon as I finish. I'm having a bit of a battle putting the headlights back together lol.

Lol, she got the (new to us) '12 dodge avenger, as long as the 5 is driveable she doesn't really care thankfully!

Avenger...one car that the name doesn't suit the car (no offense to ur wifes new ride) :)

haha, none taken. Her friends have challengers and they always tell her she has the baby car. Just primed the second headlight. I have the front mazda symbol off and I want to paint that, but I don't know which color.

Finally finished and got it all back together! Sorry the pics aren't too great, phone camera sucks and car is pretty dirty.

h e double l o (hi) Nice job on the headlights.

For the love of god, please resist doing the batman symbol with the M - unless you are 16, in which case you have no business getting married. Chrome looks good on black, oh wait…

I'm not a fan of the murdered out look which a lot of black owners tend to do but I like hoodride - go figure. Any plans for the car?

Some places you can get married at 16.

But if you are 16 and driving a Mazda 5, god help you.

You should only drive a Mazda 5 out of necessity.

^nope, but I only have two kids and can easily drive anything else, not to mention my wife has a VW cRoutan. I bought the 5 because of sheer convenience and want, not necessity.

I'm 26, got the 5 because my 92 volvo and my wifes 96 saturn both went down within a week of each other, i was getting ready to deploy and didn't have time to fix them both, and it was pretty much all we could get into at the time that fit most of our requirements. I decided to go with red for the mazda symbol. Not many plans yet. Its almost paid off and I plan on keeping it for as long as possible.
