What a joke I waited 2 months for that crap? Turbo magazine sucks. I was more interested in that one article in import tuner than all the issue's of the msp in turbo, but yes thanks for scanning you saved me some money.

I just wanted to send in an e-mail saying that I was pretty disappointed with this months progress on the MazdaSpeed Protege. As a owner of a 2003 Black Mica MSP, I was VERY excited when I heard that you were going to being doing a MSP project car. I was so excited that I got a subscription to your magazine. I know that there aren't a ton of parts out for the Protege yet, but I was hoping that the project would proceed along the lines of your other project cars. This last months article, "Jumpin' Jack Flash", left me very disappointed. To me a boost gauge install and a trip to the dealer for a TSB don't make a very good read.

While I know it is a limited production car, and the number of your readers that actually have one is small, those of us that do hope you continue to develop the car in the same way as your more common project car platforms (WRX, Supra, SE-R, etc.) Anyway, please continue with this project as we would like to see the full potential of this vehicle realized. With some engine management, fortified internals, and some bolt-ons this could be an amazing car!

No doubt, the Turbo series sucks! Count me in as one that has been duped.

ImportRacer had a much better article, the first time around. It should be noted that their MSP was flashed with the so-called "tiny/heat soaked SMIC". ION $900 FMIC MSP equipped car lost power. Read the articles for yourself.

Can't wait for the next IR article.

Interesting they say the flash lost HP but gained torque. I guess that's peak as I remember a thread which stated peak HP was the same, but that it gained big time in the middle of the power band.

HAHAHAHA!! I love this line,

Are these guys total and absolute morons? They have an intake, fmic, install a boost gauge and get the PCM flashed. What in the world would be the cause of the befuddlement? The fact that they expected a gain of 4-5hp and saw a loss of 1 hp? BFD!!

I hope they don't get all confused in the middle of the exhaust install!! LOL!!

And I can't wait till they "put the wood to the T25." (smash)

I saw that article, too. I'm way dissapointed with the MSP project. I picked up Import Racer instead. Their one article is 1000x better than Turbo's supposed "project". They go through the steps that they took to get 210whp and why they did them in that order. I am probably getting a subscription based on that one issue alone (they have a lot of other good things in it, too). That was the first one I had seen.
