REALLY...THEY ARE!!!
Ok, a little history. Where I work, the mechanic gets deliveries from NAPA almost every day, and every now and then, this young kid delivers. He has offered to race me on a few different occasions with either my CRX, my MSP or my girlfriends 02' Civic...in his "2002 Chevy Cavalier" (said like there is something special about it...and he's admitted it's totally stock)....each time I turn him down because I don't street race (I think he would be the cause of an accident as well...but I leave it at that).
Soo, he walked through the door about 5 minutes ago and asked me about my MSP...well he then continues and says (he is DB and I am JR):
DB:"You know, they stopped making those cars a few years ago" (keep in mind, he's talking about just regular Protege's).
JR:"No, they didn't...mine is an '03, and they are coming out with an '03.5 year model as well"
DB:"Well my friend has an '02, and he said that they stopped making them a few years ago because they were faster than Police cruisers"
I then continued to tell him that the regualr Protege's only make low 100hp figures and my car is still only in the 150-170hp range...and finished it with, "I think your friend is pulling your leg!"
and he didn't really say anything to me after that...just had kinda a cowled look on his face:mad:
Each time i see him, I'm expecting him to ask me to race...it's kinda funny, but at the same time, kinda sad, and as he's leaving I usually get a good (rofl)
