Im new everyone! and i have 1 question

Intake, Header, Exhaust, Suspension, Brakes

I prefer to start with brakes first, then suspension then exhaust, then header, then intake. The way I figure it, I need to be able to stop and handle the car before I can add more horsepower to it. That being said I'm not going to get to much HP out of my 1.6L but I sure enjoy tossing it around in the corners.

+1 for the Intake/Header/Exhaust. Protege respond well to suspension upgrades, and the front brakes on the 1.6l can be upgraded to the 1.8l setup very easily while maintaining 4 lug hubs... Also a lot of mazdaspeed parts available and interchangeable parts from 99-03 protege, 2003 and 2003.5 Mazdaspeed protege, 2001 MP3, Protege5 and Japanese Mazda Familia. Check out the Marketplace section and look up protege specific for sale, you should be able to find a lot of parts for great prices... Do your research using the search function on the upper right hand side of the forums and happy hunting. Welcome to Mazdas247 community!
