Ice is fun! That is all. Post all fun, wacky or otherwise horrible ice driving experiences from the recent ice storm. I have non for the day :( since I've been working on my car most of the morning... but I'm planning on at least goin out for a bit later :).

tomorrow is the start of the ice racing season in VT......85% chance i will get there.

i love driving on ice.......

Tryed getting out of my neighboorhood yesterday to drive around, but had no luck. Apparently there still was a good size patch of ice on the hill leading out of my neighboorhood. So basically i just came sliding back down.
And it appears there is no ice left this morning :(

A friend and I took his company minivan to the local Nortel parking lot. Ice + van = fun. I think that's all I need to say :D.

The locks/handles/doors on my protege were covered by about 5/8" of ice. There was no way I could get into it without chiseling.

i had about 1/2 inch, too. I was able to get my fingers under the door hand and just pull my door open. Spent a good 20-25 minutes peeling ice off my windows. Yokohama ES100s don't like ice... but it was sure fun

Heh, I didn't even want to attempt to pull on the door handle. With it being plastic, I'd not have been happy if if snapped some how.

HA... I was lucky to have my car in the garage. Though I did enjoy watching my dad pound and chisel the ice of his explorer. It was quite humerous.

i had some ice on my car, took pictures.

anybody else witness the dumb asses that didnt remove the huge sheet of ice off their roof and then when they are driving down the road it flies off, up about 75 feet then spirals down to destroy some poor smucks grill/hood/window/roof? I saw three cars get hit by those! i almost got one, but i kept enough distance in front of me so i could avoid any damages to my baby (my car). i removed that huge peice of ice just for that reason, i didnt want it to fly off and hit somebody.

Yep, I drove all the way out to LaGrange, GA... (160 mile round-trip) I saw plenty of people losing chunks of solid ice. There was one lady who swerved right infront of me in an attempt to avoid the chunk of ice, and the ice was pretty much gone by the time it reached the point where she had been.
