How often do you boost?

Those of us with turbos....how often do you boost? I am still drive-testing at 6 psi, and it is doing well. I will be installing the "device" today, and then the boost will go up to 7.

I'd keep the boosy at six for awhile until you are for sure the "device" is working properly, and you know it is doing everything it should. Be safe, not sorry Linux.

Yeah, 6 is plenty for me right now. But for how long will it be enough.....(laugh)

Until FM has the kit completely sorted and tested at 8 psi...

Yeah, I just don't want you to blow your motor again...Particularly after you had it rebuilt nice and neat.

Have you broken your engine in yet, Lunux. I would wait until you can retard your timing, before I went to 7 or 8 psi. I would think that is when detination would start. But then again you may be safe look at Stou he's running 8 and no problems with advanced timming

I am running ignition retard via the LINK.
I retard as much as 7 degrees at certain rpms and boost loads.
And have actually been running 10 psi for some time now...just didnt tell everyone:)

speaking of, when is your invention there going to be on the market?

Can anyone tell me what the stock fuel pressure is supposed to be at idle?

ohhh.
Well(laugh)
I am selling the link most likley to a forum member. We are working on a exclusivity deal of a certain australian stand alone ecu company to disrtibute for. This will enable us to make a plug n play stand alone ecu system for our cars that will have default setting s that will need minimum tuning.

Still working the details out on this though and will keep you updated.
As for buying a piggy LINK for your car, if you are more interested in this route I would urge you guys to go to FM for this. Since they are the gurus in this market segment and have had great sucess with the link in the miata community

No, thats the pressure to set Corky's FPR to at 0 vac, AKA onset of boost.

I mean what is the fuel pressure that the car should have at idle.

I believe its 36-40, just wanted to see if anyone with an MP3 had verified this.

I boost whenever I feel like!!! :D

It's true that I run at 8 psi with no problem but I think it's because that I alway use good quality 94 octane gaz. We have a good quality gaz over here.
