How do I fix this?

I've noticed that I get the rattling or "squeaking" sound from the moonroof. How do I fix this?

Couple of ways...

Close the moonroof and shade and tape up the vent slots in the shade. Then fill the cavity with Great Stuff. No more rattles and squeaks.

Is the car still under warranty? I'd take it to the dealer first.

I found that on mine in the summer time when its been sitting in the heat for a little while it is actually the trim that goes around the opening. it works its way a little loose and squeaks. I just push it back on tighter and it works.

I lube up my rubber part around the sunroof ,cause i find it drys out and thats the cause of my noise

I went through all this on a previous VW and again on a Toyota Supra.

I "solved" my problem by buying the P5 without the sunroof
