I have a 06 Mazda 5 I am considering upgrading my radio as I enjoy Bluetooth and GPS, is there a difference between the Mazda 3 dash and Mazda5? looks like this might be a direct fit.

I'm not sure about the 1st gen vehicles but I can confirm that the 2nd gen Mazda 3 and Mazda 3 radios are dimensionally different....they look similar but are not interchangeable. The shape is slightly different.

Checkout autodvdgps.com they might have something reasonably priced that will fit...they are of decent quality too (for a Chinese made OEM look a like).

You need one that is for Mazda 5, 1st gen, looks like it comes with a bezel.
