Has anyone tried to put chrome rims over odometer?

someone on this site spray-painted chrome on their gauges (took them apart first, of course). It looked very good.

I didn't do "chrome", but I did paint the surrounds silver:

SEM "bumper Coater". But I do agree some chrome rings would look nice. IMO, my paint was the "next best thing" - kinda

I actually coated all of the interior "silvery" pieces with Light Titanium Metallic SEM bumper coater paint - just so everything would match up. The color difference is not striking in photos, but in person, it's MUCH brighter than the stock "champagne" color. Me likes!

Very nice! BUT, someone should make this whole peice in Carbon Fiber...that would look sweet.

Well, not really - only because the difference between the stock color and the new color does not really show very well in pictures - but I painted all the stuff that was originally that "champagne" color.

One little "custom" thing I did, though - I painted the trim that surrounds the e-brake. I first sanded the texture out of it - this was a royal pain, but once I started, I had to finish it because it would've looked like crap half-done. The sanding took forever, and every coat of paint revealed scratches that I missed. But I eventually got it smooth (after like 15 coats of paint and 2 hours of sanding ) and I'm pleased with the results:

I also painted the glovebox latch for the hell of it, but don't have any pics of that, sorry.

Oh yeah - and that knob under the e-brake handle is the control to dial up my turbo. Uh - just kidding - it controls the bass boost my Fosgate sub amp. But at least it controls SOME sort of boost!
