halo fog lights

i searched this but couldnt find the answer i was lookin for.

im lookin to pick up a set of foglights that has the halo ring in them (red), and approx the same size as stock.
whats the best kind to get, if anybody knows?

i like the ones in that pic, they look bad ass, and perfectly match the underglow color (im lookin to do the same thing for my car except in red)

i know that catz does that type of lamp,a buddy bought a kit,they are really nice,and i think that there is 7 colors you can choose....but he bought them 2 years ago,are they still availabe,i d like to know....

Pilot makes the 7-color halo fogs in a 4.5" lamp. I have 'em on my car, and I've seen 1 other member who's got 'em, too. They're like $40 shipped off the autozone website. But they're cheap-ass lights. Some of the colors on my rings don't work any more, and on some settings they light up different colors now. And I've already replaced the relay once in 6 months since half of it corroded and the fogs wouldn't work any more. So you can get 'em, just don't expect them to last too long.
I've also seen others on ebay, but I think they're even smaller than 4.5".

yea i dont want some cheap ones that will break on me. hopefully someone can inform us about this, cuz id really like to have a set of these, multi color or not.
altho i think multi color would be pretty nice too

laserblue hooked me up with a link to a set of pilot fog lights with a 7 color led ring...unfortunately (as far as i can tell) the bracket required isnt made anymore (the G3) but im gonna see what i can do.

ok so i was wrong (i think) laserblue said that he doesnt think that the g3 bracket will fit the protege....so if someone can tell me what bracket it is that i would need to hold these lights in place, thatd be awesome

i havent decided which kind i wanna get. probably the neon tho, considering i really only want one color (red) and any other color would be weird. only problem is that the neon ones are 4 3/8" and the OE fogs are 5 1/2" so itd be weird lookin.......hmmmmm. but the led ones are 5 1/8" so thats prob what ill go with.

The people thinks kick ass and thank you for the JCWhitney link! I've been following these fogs on autobarn for a long ass time now but never wanted to get them because they wouldn't fit without that damn G3 bracket. Let us know how the ones from JCW mount up ...
