Not dissin'-- I think it's great... but as I have a puny ES and you have a manly MSP.... I wonder how much weight that added total?

I should have weighed the pieces while I had them off last....

They really don't weigh that much.

looks awesome! a few of those parts are on my list.... but not all of them... lol i think the ride in my MSP is stiff already.

I got the rear bar in fine last night, but when it came time to install the lateral arms I am at a lost. All the pictures I have found on this site were useless to me.

HOw do the arms fit? What side goes up into the amp rack hole? The side that has the washer, locking washer, and nut on the end? And is it secured just like the old bolt in there?

If so, how does the other end connect? There is no washer supplied to me for the end that would mount on the GT Spec bar, just a little metal tube thingy...

Or is it the other way around? I know this is confusing, but please give me some direction, the install was brought to a huge halt last night around 2am!

What my mechanic did was he remove the plastic below the amp (didn't remove the amp) and drilled a bigger size hole. Then he just bolted the supplied spacers and then drilled a hole on the plastic. Then he just bolted the lateral arms.

yea, cause i couldnt get it to fit the first time...

so up by the amp rack it should go Bar > Spacer > Black Plastic/Amp Rack

just simply drilled out a bit and bolt down...

ooo yea yea yea... i got that bolt out last night, but I didnt know which end of the bar went where, I already made a hole in the carpet/plastic for the bolt to go through so i'll just file it out a bit, and bolt her in. Thanks sooooooo much for clairifiying this!!!!

Wait.... I think you are getting things confused. The lateral arms go under the car, not in the trunk. (The attatched picture, the red bar on the far right is the lateral arm).

These are the trunk bars. The top one is the one that requires you to remove the amp rack... The hole they use to mount is one that's already in the car. You have to pull the top plastic piece (the one with the fake speaker grills) to get to the other side for the nut.

Let me know if you have other quesitons... I've had these in and out a number of times.

I'm 1/2 way there just need all the lower rear pieces!
(Lateral Linkage bar, Rear Link Reinforcement Panel, Rear V Brace)

have all the others

For those running the V-Brace system... I had a slight clearance issue with those two bars making contact with the OE swaybar. I brought this up to GT Spec and they had not had a report of this before.

When the car is in the air (as it would need to be to install those bars) the sway bar has plenty of room. So when it's lowered back down the clearance is different. Something you usually wouldn't think to check. I have added some spacers to eliminate the issue.

Just a heads up.

I have updated pictures (since I posted www.studiosp.net/gtspec) if anyone wants to see more specific areas of these bars....
