Going to London Mz5 Accessories?

Going to London for 1.5 week. Is there anything interesting overseas for the Mz5? I though, heres my chance to look into power sliding door, roof rails, and middle seat but reality quick kicks-in and I realize it is not worth it since I have to buy new from dealer, wasting time pursuing it, and lugging it back. Also, it doesnt look like there are any Mazda dealers in the city so Id have to plan a 20-30 min trip to the dealer, not time I want to waste.

Briefly looked at the Mazda.co.uk and these bits look interesting but not sure if its worth the coin and/or hassle to lugging them back. Is there something that is a must have/get over there?

Center arm rest (Ive though about a DIY option form some other car -certainly cheaper but I like stock look. Oddly, the leather cover is cheaper than the cloth.)
Trunk liner (I like this but gonna be big even rolled up)
Smart turn indicator (not necessary but kinda cool, I think)

You going to pick up some 06-10 chrome mirror garnish covers for me?

(wink)

I would be interested in the Center Arm Rest...knowing how 07 models don't have passenger side arm rest, this would be a great solution!

I like the cup holder organizer - gives you extra storage space at the expense of losing a cup holder.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

In this case London. I tried calling two dealers, endless ringing for the closest one so I assume they are closed (half past five, it was), the 2nd closest is out of business. Another strange (but not really) thing is that I see ZERO, zip, zilch, nein, nil, nada single Mazda in the city (eyeballs)!?. I though Mazda's was suppose to be popular here..? I guess I was somehow fantasying that there would be caravans of Mz5 running around in song and dance (not really) considering it really is a euro/asia car. Anyhow, may try again tomorrow if I have time. Otherwise, we are going to skip London and train over to Paris for the remainder of our trip now that I can get into vacation mode.

@ thaxman - I'll repay a favor and look up 06-10 'mirror garnish covers for you. But first tell me what exactly are they? Is this the chrome covers for the two side view mirrors (NO turn signal)? No promises b/c I'm not sure if I can make it during business hours and I have a feeling they don't carry 'old' model accessories anymore. If I do get’em, you better be ready to pay up since these are not my cup of tea (I had to).

I also briefly searched online for some local scarp yards. If I can locate a close yard that has a wreck Mz5 (which I doubt since there are NO Mazda anywhere to be seen), I may toy with the idea of pulling the 7th seat and the power sliding door motors (whistle). There's a good chance I could be making another trip or two back soon but I've been warned about the horror stories about summers here.

Spend some free time searching Mz5 forums in the UK and there doesn't seem to be any. Looks like this little Mz5 sub forum is the center of the Mz5 universe EDIT: correction, I recall seeing references to Taiwain Mz5 forums and they seem bigger. Too bad for me, no comprende. However, I came across this posting and feel bad for the bloke.

No go on any accessories. I was about to head over to the local dealer but something may me decide to give them a call first (double check they are still in business since the other closed down). Glad I called b/c it turns out they don't carry any of the things I wanted in stock. Parts guy said they have to order these accessories from Mazda Europe (wait, isn’t the UK part of Europe?) and have it shipped over, which takes about 3 days. This leads me to believe this dealership is very small. We were leaving for Paris the next day so I came back empty handed :(. If I do go back in the next few months, I will order these parts in advance.

Ok so I finally saw one Mazda, which happened to be a Mz5 while crossing Tower bridge. Snap a pic but can't find it. Had the standard roof rails. No Mazda's at all in Paris either but the French sure know how to make some funny and funky looking Citroens and Peugeots. I also saw the one car that I absolute want but can’t have in the states… a white 4 door Suzuki Swift (I’m easy to please). Suzuki is not doing too good in the US and I have a feeling they are about -done.
