GAUGING INTEREST - New Rear Diff FRONT Mount

I have been talking to a rep from a reputable motorsports company that may produce a quality rear differential front mount for the MS6. They already produce a very good rear diff top mount, and believe that their front mount would be about two-thirds the price of any available products currently on the market. (I can't go into specifics about the company, price, etc due to forum rules right now.)

The thing is, they will only produce it if I can drum up 20 interested MS6 drivers.

Between two other forums, I have 18 people, myself included, interested. So if you're interested, let me know, and I'll add you to the list. Again, this would be about 1/3 cheaper than currently available front mounts, and would be designed to fit perfectly with aftermarket top mounts.

INTERESTED:

1. squire0311
2. shazboticus
3. batou79
4.
5.

Note: If you've already expressed interest on another forum, please don't do so again so I can give accurate #s to the company.

Thanks!

Cool. Gotcha on the list, and that gives us 20! I'll continue to add names if anyone is interested, so that the company has an idea how many to make in the initial run. I'll also encourage them to get vendor status here so they can sell here.

Awesome!

what about a test vechical? depending on what the terms are i can do a dyno run with out it then with it.

I believe they have their own MS6 on which to do the testing. ANd it wouldn't make a difference on the dyno. It would simply put the same amount of power to the wheels more quickly, and without the risk of shearing the diff mount bolts. Mine just sheared last week....SUCKS. I am without my MS6 until I can get the new bolts installed.

but loose bushings just like in the rear motor mount have been known to show less hp and tq. and i was just wondering so that way they can say its a legit part and not another buy me because im pretty part! LMAO

LOL OK, I'll ask them if they'll dyno it. I think the REAL test would be a drag strip 60' time. With the sloppy bushings, it takes added time to transfer that energy from the drivetrain to the wheels, and if the bushings are stiffer, it SHOULD take less time to do that.

But I'll ask them as soon as I hear back from them.

lol i only mention it because me and my dad run a performance shop in michigan. or well he mostly does because im in the Marines.
and we make it a point to get every ounce of tq and hp to the wheels.

Heard about this on the other forum but didn't post. I'm very interested in having another rear diff front mount option on the market, count me in.

OK, just an update. THe mount IS going to be produced. They're in the process of finalizing their designs by producing a plastic model to test fitment. Then they'll produce the prototype and run it for a week on their own MS6. I'll PM those interested with details as we get closer to production, including how to order.

All right, folks, I have an update from the producers of this mount. The mount is nearing production time now. Per their engineer:
The 3D print prototype fit perfectly and the CNC'd aluminum prototype for test driving should be ready early next week.

I've seen the 3D models and the CAD drawing, and for those worried that this would be a copy of the Turbine Tech model, don't stress. Not even close. It's going to be VERY stout, and I think the construction and design will surprise a lot of people. It's going to utilize four bolts on the diff casing, so the rotational forces known for shearing bolts will be distributed across a broader area, and the bolts used are grade series, so they will NOT shear. The unit is a three-piece job held together by grade series 10.9 torx hardware and utilizing an 80 duro bushing that will be much more firm than the stock marshmallow Mazda used. Very impressive work, IMHO.

They expect to do a week of test driving with the shop Speed 6 next week, and then it's on to production!

so whats the price they are looking at? Looking for a mount right now, I'll hold off till this ones tested. +1

Here's an update from the vendor (hit me up in PM for their specifics):

They are very happy with the results of their testing. The mount is "a monster" and they are in production right now. Shipping should begin in 2-4 weeks. Due to site restrictions, I am not allowed to talk price, so again, hit me up on PM for that information.

so would this be a viable standalone replacement for the diff mount? I am interested, but don't want to also have to get a rear diff top mount.
will PM for pricing info.

OK, folks, the final product is in. I have posted pictures on 6CREW.com and another site, but can't here due to site restrictions, and the fact that the producer is not a vendor here. Should be ready for ordering soon. PM me if you need details.
