Found My Next Car

I don't want to sound like a negative jerk, but I just plain don't like american cars. I mean I'm all for being patriotic, just not in the car area.

Out here all the kids that own mustangs are carbon coppies of eachother. White guys with tight pants and a small dash of white trash. :p I'm white myself, but I take more pride in making the same amount of HP and running the same 1/4 time with half the engine.

Can you honestly say the kids that own civics aren't
As for Mustangs i have worked on ones owned by everyone from 16 year old girls to 65 year old men. Base convertables to Cobras. I have noticed a set image.

Many american car companies have some kick ass stuff, unfortunitly they don't release it here. Don't forget the Cosworth.
I love alot of American cars!
96 Impala SS, New Pontiac GTO, Corvette, Basicly all Chevy Trucks, New Stratus, Grand Prix, Hummer, Cadillac (all the big one).

Most German cars I find unmotivating in the looks catagory.
There is good stuff from every area of the globe.

I hear ya...but name a new stock japanese car that can run 12 flat for under $50K (like the z06 can).

ahaha, I never said stock. I just think it's cool to make as much power with half the engine.

Yeah, most of all the "ricers" out here are thug types, and of course the ones that have air bags and shaved door handles are in the minitrucker category.

The people tha tI've come accrossed in the import scene don't have an overall hatred for domestic cars... But I feel hatred everytime I go to checker, or any other car related place from those who are pro american. I wonder why that is? I'm guessing it has something to do with WWII ;) haha

More like the after effects of WWII when we completely rebuild, upated and retrofitted the entire Japanese industrial force with Tax dollars while completely ignoring the Companies at home.

Read the thread lazy. :D
We have a member whos Uncle works for Nissan and has already mentioned a Convertable in the works.

here in america japanese cars are everywhere but my friend that went to japan said he only saw one american car which was a mustang :( thats a bad first impression

and yes id trade my mp3 for a viper an escalade or a navigator ;) i have import love but common now

slug... yah... my uncle works for nissan... he mentioned the convertible is in the works for next release, then the turbo... no mention of a T top though... that would probably be pretty sweet tho!!!!!

and no... i havent really heard of anything else comin out in a T top anytime soon... unless my memory is just failing me now..

There are a few American cars that are not to be ignored and the corvette is one of them. Especially the latest ZO6...one of the best bang for the buck production sport cars on the planet and overall an amazing car.

The 10 year old NSX style was little to none, corvette is much better. I have no love for the NSX. Over Priced and under powered. Looks OK but not for $90K.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

The 350z is going to be offered in a Hard-top convertable some time in the future. I like the G35 Coupes rear end but I really hate the cheap looking grill in the front. And I don't care to have the rear seats either.

12 flat?? I guess it depends on who's data you get it from. This is a big difference, but I see 13.1 from R&T for the Z06.

I went to the dealer today and they wouldn't let me even test drive the car! They said they couldn't find the MP3 in the book so with what they had I would have to come up with a $7000 down payment to lease the G35 coupe. in otherwords they were only offering $8000 for my 2001 Turbo perfect condition MP3.

To anyone at Kelly Infiniti in Danvers Mass!
:flip:

I drove an hour to test drive that ******* car which you said wouldn't be a problem

Once again
:flip:

You can all suck my nutz!
Did I mention
:flip:

My only response to all of this American vs. Imports is the amount of american manufactures turning to the imports for help.

For instance:
Dodge Stratus shares the platform of a Mitsubishi Galant/eclipse and is manufactured in the Mits plant in Normal, IL

The Ford Mazda relationship (At least before Ford took them over)

The GM/Toyota line of Geo's and other imports like the tracker.
