Just a few more quick questions here.

The owners manual lists six types of fluids:
1) Engine Oil
2) Manual transaxle oil, GL-4 (SAE 75w-90)
3) Transfer, GL-5 (SAE 80 or 90)
4) Rear Diff. oil, GL-5 (SAE 80w-90)
5) Power steering fluid, ATF M-III (e.g. Dexron II)
6) Brake Clutch fluid, SAE J1703, DOT3

I plan on using Redlines MT-90 for the Man. Transaxle oil.
I will be using Redlines 75w-90 Gear oil for Rear Diff oil and Tranfer. Is that correct?

Most modern vehicles have synthetics in their manual transmissions, transfer case, and front/rear axles. It is also usually Moble1, I don't actually know what Mazda used in the Speed6, but since they are all either zero maintanence or 100k+ mile fluid changes I would put money on it being synthetic.

If it is synthetic, and it is Moble1 or better you arent realisticly going to gain anything from the fluid swap. So I would recommend checking into it before you spend the money. :)

My dealership told me specifically NOT to put synthetic in this car (not just for the break-in, don't do it at all). I didn't follow up because I let the dealership do all the maintenance, but I should find out why. If I do, I'll post back... Was just wondering if anyone else had been told this?

100K under normal driving...if you race or beat the piss out of your car I would be dropping drivetrain fluids every 30K at the most. hehe flat4 let us know what they say...Ive run synthetics in all my cars for years... on a side note is your name in reference to the porsche flat 4?
