First time dropping tranny, bolt broke in bellhousing :(

So this is the second time since owning my P5 (since March!) the transmission has gone out. Shift fork both times. The first time the dealership handled it, replaced it, but not this time. Since I can't afford the 2k to get it serviced, i decided to do most of the labor myself! Armed with the write-ups i found on the forum, and no prior experience in anything close to this extensive, i dropped the transmission myself, and would have rebuilt it myself but work got busy and i had no time so i forked over the 300 bucks to have a shop put in a new shift fork. But now for the install, i remembered that when trying to get the lower rear tranny bolt out, it broke off in the bellhousing. The big 19 mm one, not the two 17mms. I think the dealer previously impacted it in or something, because i broke 4 ratchets trying to get it out before the head finally snapped off. Then the shop tried getting it out with clamps, and it broke off again, flush with the bellhousing. My question is, is it worth it to take to a machine shop, or can i go without this one bolt? I previously wanted to autox this car, but dont really trust the transmission now. So it wont be crazy rough driving and dont plan on many power mods.
Gonna replace the clutch while the transmission is out anyways. Any other advice in general is appreciated.

tl;dr: can i run with a missing bolt on my tranny?

going to be honest... i didnt read your whole post.

but i do have a the whole casing for a transmission if interested.

100 for plus shipping.

It can go without the bolt, I've seen people only put 4 or 4 on. This is assuming its the bolt that attaches the bell housing to the block and not one that attaches the trans to the bell housing
