First Mod

Looking at ETS TMIC, CP-E CAI, or CP-E DP. I am leaning toward the TMIC as it appears to be the simplest to install and provides decent HP gains. Anyone with experience on this mod?

So is the CAI an easy mod to install? On my 4th gen Maxima I needed to get out the high torque drill and a hole saw. I'm leasing this baby atm and want to return this back to OEM if need be.

CAI

Motor mount isnt needed

No real gain from CAI except for sound. Motor Mount takes away the shifting CLUNK and will regain the loss of torque due to the crappy factory mount. I could tell a difference when i put mine on after I did my full 3inch exhaust and I had wished I had done it first.

motormount....my recommendation is the 70 durometer awr if you are vibration sensitive, and if you don't car for a little bit of vibration go for the 88. all the other mounts are worthless as they are not much stiffer than stock.

motor mount will be the cheapest and easiest investment at only $70.

after that get a d/p as it is probably the hardest install....just to get it out of the way.

No gain from opening the intake on a turbo car? LOL

Then add exhaust after the intake.

My car is just fine without the mount.

Exactly no REAL gain on a turbo'd car yes i said that. Ask anyone you get no real gain but sound. Any Dyno I have seen on the MZR did not show a significant gain. I saw my real gains in my full 3 inch Turbo Exhaust.

Since you have NO mount you have NO room to talk. Ask anyone here that does and see if they found a difference. You will see that I am correct. Get you one then tell me what you found mean while I will enjoy the Torque that you are loosing.

So you have a dyno sheet before & after the mount to show me I'm losing all this tq? (hand) (rofl)

Did you not read where I said intake then open up the exhaust? (stfu) (smash)

Does the AWR motor mount require any "customization" to make it fit? I remember reading something about some tabs in the motor mount location that needed to be changed for some of the motormount installs.

Question, if I get the motor mount installed at my local garage, how long should the instal take? cuz i know you need to jack the car up... is it a quick instal?

and will it void my warranty?

should take 30-40min from start to finish...the tabs arn't all that hard to take off. some diagnal cutters and plyers will take them off in a snap.

and again....mods DO NOT void your warrenty it is against FEDERAL law for them to void your warrenty based on mods....although dealers can deny service.....

Tell that to the countless people who have had warranty claims DENIED b/c of mods. Not just MS6 guys either.

AWD Terror is right; the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act states that it is up to the manufacturer to prove that the aftermarket product was the cause of any damage.

If any add-ons are the cause of damage; then you are screwed. If not, threaten a lawsuit (I mean really threaten lawsuit, like with a letter from your lawyer, and you will see how fast the service department changes their tune). Dealers know enough not to challenge this in court.

Well just ordered CPE CAI, CPE motor mount, ETS TMIC with new hoses and the Corksport DP. Hopefully I'll see more than SOTP gains from this stuff.

Went with the CPE motor mount since it is most like the stock part. I have a feeling the ETS will be more rewarding when the hot valley weather comes in July August Sept here in SoCal. The corksport IMHO was too good a deal to pass up.

when you do the engine mount, what exactly vibrates? is it only the steering wheel, or the whole car too?

and does it only vibrate at a stop or do you feel it the whole drive?

thanks

It's up to YOU to prove the mod didn't cause the breakage though not the dealer.
