Fire from RX-7 exhaust.

My roomate and I were in Dubuque a few days ago just driving around and noticed this red second gen (i think) RX7. He was turning right at a set of stop lights as he proceded to pull out we both saw his rather large dual exhaust cans sticking out the back of his car. As he shiffted into second, BOOM, two huge fire balls shot out of his pipes! (shocked) The only other time that I have seen something like this is with my friends Stang Gt, but the RX7 had a lot more fire.

lmao...isn't it great? My bud's 3 rotor rx-7 is capable of 10 ft flames....scares the s*** out of ricers who buzz about trying to get a taste of the allmighty 7....

When I used to have my '82 RX7 with the street ported motor it would belch flames. Gotta love that 1st to 2nd shift when you get that big BOOM! It definitely turns heads on both the track and the street. Most RX7's won't spit flames unless they are heavily modded or there is a problem with the anti-backfire valve.

Yes...it is definitely a pain to have to explain the whole concept of a rotary engine to a cop each time you get pulled over, to avoid getting ticketed....lol
