Exhaust Middle Section

I'm a new (to me) 2006 Mazda5 1.8 Ts2 owner in the UK. The exhaust middle section is blowing slightly but no one does an after-market replacement! Does anyone know a manufacturer who makes them? Bosal have them on their website, part number 284-393(b) but the part is still 'in development' (basically there's not a high enough demand here) - ironically I work for an Tyre and exhaust company, so fitting isnt an issue if I can source the part.

Any help appreciated!

If you mean that your catalytic converter is clogged, in the US we are able to go to any exhaust shop and have it replaced (at least here in Florida). They are simply sized per the exhaust system tubing diameter and space allocation under the vehicle. Our vehicles are equipped with a primary converter and a post converter. I've never come across the need for an OEM unit. If your laws regulate something else, then I'm not sure what you could do.

Hi - no the Cat is fine its just a section of the pipe has corroded where the crossmember/bracket is welded in the middle, unfortunately as the front cat is part of this section you have to replace the lot. I have been quoted 654 (over $1000) to replace something which on most cars would cost 40. I'm going to get someone to weld it up and hope that mazda sort out a repair section.

Idk the situation over there, but over here you can buy a generic cat and have any local muffler fab up some pipes for you really cheap. Maybe... $200 or less, plus the price of the cat?
