Ecsta V700's 205/45-16 fit ok on 16x6 stock wheels?

they are the only size choice in a racing tire that has the same circumference as the stock SP5000's. Of course they are 10mm wider than stock so grip and treadlife are helped :} I am not getting wider wheels because I want to race in stock class this year.

Like treadlife matters ;)

205s should be OK on 6" wheels, not ideal though. There are lots of stock class cars running as wide as 225s on 6" wheels so you should be fine.

i've had the same problem. the 205/45 V700's seem to be the only thing that fits.

let me know how it turns out for you, since i'm losing the battle against financial irresponsibility. :)

Thanks, I got the same response from one of the mechanics at work who has been racing since the 60's. Treadlife is a little important since I will be racing in 2 regions this season, I want 2 HS champion trophies  and I cannot afford 2 sets of tires a year.

Of course it's easy for me to say..... I autox in STX where I don't have to worry about them short life r-compounds.... A nice set of Azenis will last all year, driven on the street... :D
