For your viewing pleasure. :D Thanks to Jason for the resizing. :D

This is run 1 totally stock. Notcie the dip at about 4k RPMS.
smallerrun2v1.jpg

This is run 2 with the K&N cone filter, a small drop right before 38k rps, then a major dip at 5.2k (possible open loop/hot air issue)
smallerrun3v1.jpg

Run 3 with K&N, not as much loss in the Torque, but not a very level graph. You can see the dip at 4.7k, my cooling fans kicked on.

Back to stock airbox. Best WHP run, and only lost 3 lbs of torque from first run. This was also the most stable run according to the power graphs.

Here are my 3 quarter mile time runs. Thanks to Laptopheavan for the resizing :D

quarter1v1.jpg
3500 rpm launch. Got a good 60 foot time, and close to what SCI got with thier car.
quarter2v1.jpg
Launch at 3700 RPMS better 60 foot time, better 1/4 mile time, slower speed/
quarter3v1.jpg
Best launch at 4k rpms, killed the 60 foot times, (the RSX never did better then 2.8 seconds :D , hit the fuel cut in third, or else I woulda broke into the 14's on this run. not bad though not bad.

Remember this was all done on a dyno, True track times to come friday nite.

Did you say the MSP was turbocharged? I can't believe how linear those curves are. That car must drive like a dream.

wow.. those dyno charts are not what the ones in modified mag are at all... according to just about every other mag/dyno I have seen, the power drops off after 5500-6000.... on yours, it keeps going to 6500/redline... . weird... the power is about the same, but the rpm to power is different...

I am glad to see that power goes all the way to redline...

The HP climbed to fuel cut. so there is some power left there. Wonder what RPM the engine can really handle? I would love to rev it out to 8k. but fuel cut hits at 7300 RPM.

Plus you gotta remember, if your drag racing, the first 8th mile is all about torque, after that, its all about the WHP. :D

I will hopefully break into the 14s this week at the drags. Next week its to IREV then the following week, its off to the autox. :D Its an all pupose car I tell ya. Show/drag/auto/panty dropper (moon)

I'm surprised to see no notable hp gains with the K&N but a decent loss of torque. Its nice to know that the factory air box isn't as restirctive as people make it out to be.
