Hey guys.. my buddy had a dyno day last week. He just picked up a sweet DYNOJET Dyno. Apperantly the most acurate dyno ?
Anywhoo... when I got my car Tuned a while back on a different dyno I was arund 290ish whp.
On this Dyno I hit 259 Whp ?? I am quiet dissapointed I wasn't able to obvisouly do a baseline dyno on his but I amk sure some people have on a dynojet.

If stock it would dyno 195 whp (like some people have) than I'm happy but if it's the typical 220 whp and all I got was 259 whp with all my mods I am pissed.
My mods are

3.25" ETS Tmic
Cpe standback (tuned) 18 psi
mazdaspeed Cai
cpe catted downpipe
cpe 3" single exhaust
Hks Bov
su motor mount

what do u guys think?

All dynos read different. Some people have corrected dynojet numbers so dont be fooled if some posts up with the same mods and has 300whp. Your nubers sound like there are for sure uncorrected. We have a shop with a dynojet here in town that there correction factor is so big that stock MS6's make over 300whp. haha.

we got 260 to the wheels on an AWD dynojet with the following mods;

3.5 inch ETS TMIC
XEDE EMS and 18psi
CPE Cold Air Intake
Factory Downpipe and Cat
Factory Midpipe and Cat
HKS SSQV
3in Crush Bent Catback

i'd say your buddy's dyno is pretty accurate based on comparing the two lists. alot of it depends on your tune and as was already said, the correction factors and smoothing involved in the dyno software.

This is kind of why what matters is what you run at the track. I guess it offers someone personal satisfaction if they get a generous dyno result, but the fact is it's not an exact science, so there's no true accuracy. It's just too bad all dynos aren't close to the same. That way when we see someone post their dyno we can truly know what kind of HP they have. 260whp seems right on to me for the mods above. :)

I got 265 awhp and 274 torque with my mods in my sig @ 18 psi and 100 octane. Sounds about right to me?

like it has been said every dyno is different. The weather plays a roll and fan(s) placement matters also. That is why it is best to use track times and when you add mods to stay on the same dyno.
