ok,, so yeah,, I am putting in my joe p mbc,, adn it would appear that my stock hoses are ******* plastic... they dont come off without breaking... so I finally got it disconnected from the "T",, and tried sticking the MBC in,, and it cracked... so now I have to replace the hose from the wastgate to my MBC.. WTF?!?!?!?! this is going to be a chore...

is it as simple as just slipping on a new hose?? or do I need to do anything special???

PLEASE HELP!!!

Relax slow down a minute.
I had the same problem apparently not all hoses are created equal among the MSP's. You'll notice a connector going from the elbow hose coming off the waste gate into the actual hose that runs to the facory "t" fitting you could replace the hose at that point on up or just cut the stock hose a little shorter and do this.

"Joey Spaghetti-head's MBC installed.
I finally got my Joe's X=something or other-MBC installed.
I had to cut the stock wastegate hose because that piece-o-s*** stock line was so dry, brittle, and CRACKED it would not fit around the 3/16 MBC connector. Every attempt to push the line down onto the 3/16 fitting of the MBC result in more of the line cracking apart.
I ended up having to buy a 1/8 to 3/16 fitting for 1.69$ at Orileys. I had to then take the 1/8 side stick it into the stock wastegate hose and then cut a short length of 3/16 hose to run from the 3/16 end of the fitting to the wastegate side of the MBC.
Anyway it was a pain in the ass to get done.
But now I am running 9.9 to 10 lbs of boost according to my AUTOMETER 2310 boost gauge. It only holds that pressure for a couple of seconds though usually it just hovers around 5-8lbs. Joe is right stock it was topping out at 5lbs! What a crock of s*** Where was my 6.9lbs of boost? Not there that's where A.W.-*******-O.L.

BTW Joe's turn it down until you can barely blow through it method of initial adjustment worked for me. It was almost 10lbs on the nose.

Pics to follow..."

Make sure to zip tie the lines to the 1/8 to 3/16 adapter.

ok, so I just pushed my car in the garage.. I have to let it cool off before I go anywhere near my turbo... I was checking out teh connection at the waste gate,, it looks like it has some sort of special connector... anything tricky with it??

Look closey at where the elbow goes up from the wastegate and ends you should see a little white plastic connector that goes into the hose which runs up to the "t". You may have to move the foam sleeve to see the part I'm speaking of. If my hose is too short to return the wastegate hose back to it's orginal position then I will have to go through the pain in the ass of replacing the hose. You will have to crawl under it or find a way to get to the elbow and pull the hose off the connector and push a replacement hose back down onto it. Make sure to retain the factory foam sleeve that goes around the wastegate hose.
You can do it just relax dont force anything and be careful with that bad dry stock hose. If I wasn't adding the MBC I would have had them replace it; it is that bad.

Do not **** with the elbow as it has that damn factory crimp thing on it just replace the hose DON'T **** WITH THE ELBOW PLEASE! I dont want them to screw you on your warranty.
And dont beat you car up drive it and test it fully with every adjustment.

ok,, so I bought that 1/8-3/16" adapter.. I hooked it all up, and it works.. when I floor it, it spikes up to about 10 psi, then falls down to about 7-8.... is that normal??

also, where I connected the addapter to the hose I bought,, it is NOT a very good fit,, it seems like it would leak,, but Im guessing it doesnt... but it just looks kinda shiesty... Im about to cut the hoses some more so I can make it zip tie to my BOV hose...

it seems normal that it boosts to where its supposed to and then leaks it out..mine boosts to the 7 psi mark and falls to 4 or 5 psi. i think im going to get a new bov/bypass and see if that will stop that from happening. SuperSput you have the turbo xs or the greddy type s right?

Yes the fit isn't extemely tight get a small zip tie and put it around the hose. Place it right around the portion of the hose where the adapter is. Do this for both ends of the adapter the 1/8 wastegate hose and the 3/16 section that goes to the MBC.
That way it won't blow off like mine almost did. DOH!

Good luck Holmes...

he's getting his TurboXS wed. i think. that's when the MBC was SUPPOSED to come in too. ERIC- call me!

ok.. I have "fixed" it for now.. I mounted the mbc, and cut the hoses the right way.. the only thing that bothers me is that pos little 1/8"-3/16" connector..... wont that melt?? and of course,, I had just enought stock hose to where the hose bends right where I have that lilttle connector.. so I wrapped it in electrical tape for now.. me and mx3ownzj00 are going to fix it up tomorrow or somthing.. put a whole new hose on it..

right now, to be honest,, I am SCARED TO DEATH to get on my car... I know everyone says that 9-10psi is ok,, but my car sounds COMPLETELY different.. the turbo is so loud,, which is expected.. my engine seems to get so hot.. thats b/c its 100 outside.... (houston)... I dont know.. I just havnt really gotten on it yet... I'll give it time... my boost gauge says Im getting right at 9.5-10psi

oh and yeah,, I am getting the Turbo XS racing bypass type 25... I already have the 34,, (ordered the wrong one) ITS HUGE!!!! I hope the 25 is a little smaller...

i was thinking about getting the HKS but it might be a little too pricey. tell us when you install the XS 25, if the boost leaking stops occuring

ok cool... and yeah,, the HKS costs about $330 to get it all hooked up.. thats INSANE!!! Igot my txs for $160 shipped from world one performance..

What do you guys do when you wash the car without the weather stripping? How do you keep water from getting in your engine bay?

how do you plan on hooking up the txs valve to the stock charge piping?

i'm planning on getting a txs type rfl... hehehehe
