It has a Divorced wastegate pipe. Overall I think its good/excellent. Im probably gonna get it since I already have the Turbo XS TP.. No point in me getting the whole CPE DP since I only need this piece . Thats my OP
Boost creep and boost spike are two totally different items. While both related to the wastegate and exhaust flow, thats where the similarity ends.
Boost creep is caused by a wastegate that does not have a better flow capacity then the rest of the hot side of the turbo. A larger exhaust flow can not pass through the wastegate and takes path of least resistance, this path causes the turbo to rotate faster and faster. A properly ported or external wastegate will get rid of this problem.
Boost spike is when a change occurs in exhaust flow and a waste gate does not react fast enough to keep up with flow demands thus not limiting the speed of rotation of the turbo. I dont think a better wastegate will eliminate this problem. If you had a larger turbo and the spool was slower then the stock turbo can be then those rapid changes would be a little better controlled.
