Console Lights....?

Just a quick question....

Is the Cig. lighter and ashtray supposed to light up when the lights are on?
I see that the lighter has the orange reflective plastic around it, but on most cars this is back lit when the lights are on.
I'm not a smoker - but how would you find the ashtray at night?!!
(Is this Mazda's way to stop smiking while driving?!! - LOL!)

Just curious as I am still getting familiar with the car!

nope...its NOT back lit.....and if you can't figure out where the ash try is....pull over....and turn on the dome light....

Anyone have ideas on putting something else in that little hole - once the ashtray is removed?

better yet, if you cant figure out where the ash tray is, do yourself a favor and jerk your steering wheel into the nearest telephone pole..........hehe



switches for neons, a turbo timer, push button start could go where the smoking stuff is
