Speed6
I'm beginning to pay more attention to the speed6 now (manual cars in general) and kinda realised when the car is turned off, i could pop it into gears without using the clutch...did this by accident...

And when i shift into gears, espeically 1 to 2 (the other gears are not as loud), i can hear the mechanicals moving loudly (metal-metal sound), of course with windows down...realised this when i was in a drive through and i was just shifting around, my car sounds like a robot as the sound bounces off the wall...

i did search and googled it but couldn't info on it (or at least the keywords i used was not helping)....

wanted to see if it's normal or not, as the dealer said clutch is 100% ok...

sorry for the noob Q.....it just concerns me as my dealer checked it twice and said...nah...no prob..

When the car is off the clutch serves no purpose at all. The only reason that the clutch is needed is to disconnect the flywheel from the trans. So that you can change the gears, while the flywheel is spinning. If the flywheel is not spinning there is no problem with the trans changing gears, because there is no load and everything is sitting still.

Read this and it will help you understand.
