Cheap eBay Timing Belt Kit - any good?

May be overkill, but I've got a box of OEM Mazda parts sitting in the shop for this job. It's not the sort of thing I want to do twice.

Just remember that when the timing belt breaks it can still bend valves. So by not spending the extra money in quality parts you get to buy them anyway and all the other fun stuff of pulling and rebuilding the head

Is it really worth it? Something's can be bought from ebay, others not do mych

It's tempting to get this just for the tensioner and idler. Rock has the tensioner for 36 + shiipping. Lowest on eBay is 45 shipped. Idler another 15. I'm thinking a bearing would at least tend to warn you audibly before failure, versus a belt.

Agreed. This is one of those times where it's really not worth saving less than $50 over a critically important part.
