I've been looking for a good car mag latley. I always read C&D and think its a great Mag, but I am looking for something geared toward younger readers dealing with Imports. Stuff I can use. I tried Import tuner and the only thing I liked were the models. I bought "Makes and Models" which was pretty cool. Any other suggestions? I have been searching for Grass roots motorsports for a long time. Someone on this board suggested it but I have not been able to find it anywhere. Thanks for the help.

Try Sport Compact Car. It is one of the BEST!!! Refered to on this site as SCC.

GRM is the best car mag around...SCC has just gone to the "crappy" side of the whole import gig.


GRM is an everything magazine. I highly reccomend it.

yea, listen to chris, he writes protege articles for GRM.

SCC has gone kinda crappy, but its still far better than super street, or import tuner.

No kidding. I recently bought an issue of Super Street, because SCC wasn't in stock yet and I was hard up for a car mag...
What a mistake. They had a little review of the Dodge SRT-4, and most of the article was devoted to recounting the flatulent behaviour of the author's co-driver on a little road trip they took. Like I really want to read that...

And then they hit up a road course, and the author admitted that they had no idea what they were doing behind the wheel, and got lost several times. I'm supposed to respect the opinion on a car from a guy who gets lost on a road course?

I'll add my vote for SCC and GRM. Great mags.
