Bov suggestions?

how would you know it's leaking?

because all of a sudden my my vac was at -17 instead of -20 and the only thing i did was install the bov. Also when i would clamp the vac line going to the bov it would return to -20. I tried using lithium grease and graphite lubricant.

I run a Synapse Synchronic BOV w/ MAF relocate and I love it. It's a pull type (i.e. HKS SSQV) so there's no need to dial it in or adjust it if you change boost like a Push type (i.e Greddy, TurboXS). Also it doesn't have diaphragm so you'll never have to worry about it rupturing or leaking.

black hks ssqv v2. amazing. doesn't require dialing in, doesn't wear out, loud, can recirculate if desired. i'm running ti VTA with the maf relocation, and highly recommend it. synapse are really nice too from what I've heard, but HKS came up with the design really. I like the pull-type blow off idea a lot.

So I ordered an adapter flange for the eBay so I didn't have to weld it in, doesn't leak and adjusted idle to 1,000 rpms. No stalling or idle issues coming off full boost at 18 psi it dips down to 750 rpms and levels out fine. Maf is in stock location. Only issue so far is I didn't have a clamp tight enough

So eBay type rs bov is good instead of paying $200+ for name brand

I ran the ngr type s vented are you running both spring inside or jus one

i always had problems with turbo xs bov's causing a vac leak because of their design. That's why i switched from a rfl to a ngr type-s they took the greddy design and improved on it.

Both springs, mine is 100% vta

Ill probly upgrade to something better when I get my megasquirt and run 20+ psi

It didn't last long the o-ring on the bottom decided to break. Sounded like it had some big cams pulling -10 vac though lol. I think I'm gona try a type rz next if I can't find a replacement o-ring

i run the TurboXS RFL and i enjoy it, like said before its really loud, BUT its not an annoying squeak noise like most BOVs it honestly sounds like the car is sneezing. just "CHOOOOO!!" inbetween gears, also at low PSI its got a flutter-like sound that i call the horse.

I almost want to try an rfl, if I can find someone with one that will let me borrow it I probly will. I love eBay adapters lol decent and cheap

thats why I say go with the TurboXS Type-H....same sound but not as retarded loud.
