Boost loss after wga replacement

So I finally got an 03MSP, and for one steal of a deal I might add. I got it fairly cheap because the previous owner was having issues with intermittent boost that would often result in a bucking,or jumping, motion. After a few hours of reading on here I figured it was the wastegate actuator, so I replaced the stocker with the ATP replacement.

It corrected the intermittent boost and bucking, but now I feel like little boost is being released....like a major loss of thrust from 3500+ rpm range. I've checked all the lines/intake and they seem to be properly fitted and secured. The only thing I did differently in the install was using a hairpin style clip in place of the eclip where the actuator connects to the wastegate lever thing on the back of the turbo.

I'm sorta broke at the moment and can't afford a boost gauge, so I was curious if anyone else experienced this issue.

Nothing wrong with your MSP, you are experiencing the hesitation from running the stock tune. Invest in an SSAFC if you want the car to run like it's supposed to.

I was afraid that was the case....overboost was a good time until I realized how much it really dumped into the intake. Someone said as much as 15 pounds!

My hands were too damn big to get the eclip in the right spot haha. The only place I could find the tool was online and, to be honest, I was too impatient to wait for it lol.

I'll start looking into the SSAFC tonight. I'm sure it won't fit into my budget atm, but we'll see.

Thanks for the replies btw
