Blower Fan Only Works on 4...

Hi folks, was just wondering if anybody can point me in the right direction. The blower fan in my 2002 P5 only works on setting 4. Car has A/C. Absolutely nothing on 1-3. Its getting cold out and its tough to drive with the heat blowing at level 4 all the time! Any ideas are welcomed and appreciated.

First check the resistor module. If it's not the resistor module, you'll have to replace the whole blower unit like i had to. Good luck with the troubleshooting!

Thanks, where would I find the resistor module and how do I check it?

resistor module is located behind the glove box. you'll have to take out the glove box. Here is a video i found on youtube with instructions http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttbJoyl2xgY. If you need a resistor, i've got one i'm selling cheap, PM me about it, i'm located in mississauga

It is also very likely the fan switch, they commonly fail on proteges.

Just curious, does the fan spin at 1-3 but without heat, or it doesn't spin at all at 1-3?
