damn that is pathetic..... honestly i dont get why they didnt leave in the first place but if i was stuck their i would do whatever it takes to survive..... in accordance with the pics i guess s*** would have just floated to me!!!

if this were from the same news source there would be more to it, but as it is, all i can say is a big "eh..."

a lot of people dont leave because once a resident leaves and it is declared a disaster zone (or whatever) the resident CAN NOT return until the national guard says so. so the whole time your on the outside lookin in there are people goin through your homes stealing stuff. i live on the coast. this could have just as easily happened here. i probably would have stayed and not evacuated. its a coastal thing. i see it EVERY year here in texas where a storm comes through, people leave thier homes, the storm isn't as bad as people thought, but because one bridge is out the national guard still wont let owners back in even though they can watch the news and see others ramaginf through thier home. its a very scary thought. of course its also a chance you take. but thats what we get for living on the coast. but yeah those news articles are pretty gay.

did they ask the dude if he was stealing? how did they know he was taking something not his? and the other people?
 
I want links to the ACTUAL stories. For all I know, somebody stole the pics off the net and made up their own stories. I know the internet is a safe place where ALL information can be trusted...but sometimes I have my doubts. (blah)

If these are genuine though, that's F-ed up
 
yeh but all the gettho mofos i saw on TV are stealing beers, liquir and electronics. Sorry but they should be shot.
 
I can understand food and drinks...even alcohol I guess. But WTF are you going to do with a TV and no electricity??
 
it is rediculous the finding vs. looting thing, but a loaf of bread and soda(survival) is alot different than a tub or beer and a trash bag full of goods(personal gain).
 
I'd love to find money in a bank one day.
